On September 7, 2017 Equifax announced that they had a cybersecurity incident that potentially exposed personally identifiable information(PII) for 143 million people. The data contained name, SSN, date of birth, address, and for some, driver’s license number. Credit card numbers for 209,000 people were also exposed.
